​This tip is to inform MB Oil battery operators who deliver to Kingston Terminals that, effective April 2022 production month, Kingston has changed their process and will no longer be taking a line loss volume. The value of the line loss volume will be incorporated in the price paid.

Oil Valuation - changes to Pipeline Split Functionality Affecting OVE003, OVE007, OVE008 Errors

This tip is to inform Industry that ER has implemented a change to Petrinex that will cease the rolling up of cascade merge (CASMER) volumes for the purchaser oil valuation volumes. In addition, a details button has been added to the purchaser oil valuation records so that purchasers can view which cascaded volumes have been rolled up into the single oil valuation volume.

Reducing the Risk of Receiving DOE Oil Penalties

This document outlines how oil well/battery operators can avoid penalties by improving compliance with respect to conventional oil delivery and reporting in accordance with Alberta Energy's applicable Petroleum Royalty Regulations.  This tip provides a link to the new DOE IL 2008-15 explaining changes to the appeal process in circumstances where the royalty attributes (vintage and royalty programs) have changed.

Use the correct Contract Number format for APMC Transportation Allowance Claims and/or Pipeline Splits

Petrinex will default contract number if field left blank.  If the contract number is added incorrectly (no hyphen) then a duplicate line is produced.
