Password Resets

Beginning on October 3​, 2025, users will be able to sign in using Alberta Account for Organization (AAO) credentials instead of Petrinex-managed credentials. Petrinex will use the e-mail address configured by Petrinex User Security Administrators(USA) to identify and match user accounts.  The current sign in method—using Jurisdiction, BAID, User ID, and Password will remain available until February 4, 2026.

How To Reset my Passord, if I am using the "current" sign in method?

Users should contact thier BA User Security Administrator (USA) who is responsible for resetting their passwords. If you do not know who your BA USA is, contact the  Petrinex BusinessDesk (contact information below).  They will contact your BA USA advising them to contact you to reset your password.

  • From the Petrinex Login Page, log in using Alberta Account for Organizations.
  • Enter your email and click Forgot password.
  • Check your email for a reset link (expires in 30 minutes).
  • Click the link and follow the instructions to reset your password.​

Primary_USA and Backup_USA users should contact the appropriate jurisdiction support team to request their password reset.
