How is Petrinex Governed?

Petrinex is structured to ensure that all stakeholders (DoE, AER, SER, BCFIN, BCEMLI, BCER, MBEDIT, IOGC and Industry) are involved in all aspects of governance and operation of the organization. This is illustrated in the following list of key committees:

  • Executive Board - Deputy Minister and President representatives from industry and AB/SK/BC governments and regulators. Chaired by AEM Deputy Minister.

  • Steering Committee - Executive representatives from industry and AB/SK/BC governments and regulators. Chaired by AEM Assistant Deputy Minister.

  • Advisory Committee - Manager level representatives from industry and AB/SK/BC/MB/IOGC governments and regulators. Chaired by Industry.

  • Industry Benefits Committee (IBC) - Industry supervisors and users of Petrinex. This committee exists for the express purpose of ensuring users are fully informed and actively engaged in the evolution of Petrinex...such that Industry achieves the full benefits targeted from Petrinex. The IBC is a subcommittee of the CAPP Accounting Committee but is open to EPAC members and non-aligned companies.
